Governance

Autonomous where useful. Accountable everywhere.

In Tapestry, governance is how the product works, not a policy document bolted on afterward. Every operation runs inside boundaries your organization defines, produces evidence a reviewer can inspect, and leaves a record you can audit.

Eight mechanisms, one principle.

People stay in control of what matters, and everything the system does can be reviewed.

  • Role boundaries

Each specialist has defined responsibilities and works only within them. Scope is a design decision made with you, not something the AI infers.

  • Human approvals

Actions with consequences, like commitments, disputes, and outbound communication, stop and wait for the person your policy names.

  • Permissions

System and data access is granted per role and per connection, following the boundaries set during the Govern stage.

  • Evidence and citations

Work products carry the contracts, data, and documents they were built from, so reviewers judge the reasoning, not just the conclusion.

  • Work history

The operating record shows what ran, what it used, what it produced, and who approved it. All of it reviewable at any time.

  • Escalation

When work falls outside a boundary or confidence is low, it routes to a person with the context attached, rather than proceeding.

  • Reviewable deliverables

Output arrives as finished, inspectable work products with approve, request-changes, and reject paths, not as actions already taken.

  • Failure visibility

Exceptions and failures surface in the operating record for correction. Problems are findable, never silently absorbed.

AI that works from your business, not just the internet.

Tapestry works from the information your company already relies on: contracts, invoices, supplier documents, operating data, policies and connected systems.

When Tapestry makes a recommendation, your team can see the evidence behind it.

Boundaries are designed with you, then enforced.

During the Govern stage of every engagement, we define permissions, approval thresholds, evidence requirements, and escalation paths with your team. They become how the operation runs, not guidance it might follow.
